A face for human rights in Iran went to Eindhoven

A face for human rights in Iran went to Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Matter if it rains or the sun shines, western people involve themselves for showing solidarity to the people in Iran.

Saturday, 2nd of October 2010 Amnesty International together with members of the International Committee for the rights of derwishes and students in Iran gathered peoples pictures for human rights in Iran and informed passersby about the situation of political prisoners and their situation in prisons like Evin, Kharizak and others.

A face for freedom in Iran and a face for human rights in Iran are actions that started in The Netherlands and that happen throughout Europe in greater cities. Thousands of faces have been gathered and put on posters in order to show solidarity with brave people in Iran whose human rights have been harshly violated. More than one year after the protests to the presidential elections in Iran the regime has intimidated the population with brutal violence show trials and omnipresence of police and anti riot forces. Although mass media in the West does not cover much about the prevailing silent protest in Iran and all over the world against the military Coup d'etat from last year, people in the streets of Eindhoven were informed about the hardness of life and the opressions of the regime in Iran.
