“Help yourselves to protect the freedom and democracy, we help you through solidarity”

During the past 31 years, a majority of Iranians in Iran have resisted the social and political atmosphere in their country. But after last year’s election of June 12th, the Iranians crossed a threshold. Thousands of people went out on the streets to protest the rigged election. From that moment on, the whole foundations of the system started to tremble; and the doctrine of “Velayat-I-Faqhi” (the sovereignty of the Supreme Leader) and the ‘Islamic Republic’ itself were openly questioned. Many Iranians have lost their faith in the Islamic Republic.
Since the contested elections, despite the increasing intolerant censorships, massive crackdowns against any form of protest, arrests, intimidations, tortures and executions, the popular resistance movement has intensified, spread and strengthened. These protests spread from Tehran to the four corners of Iran. This movement, like a colourful mosaic, is composed of all layers of the Iranian population: men, women, students, scholars, religious groups, ethnic and cultural minorities, coming from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different wishes and different views about a free Iran. This broad resistance movement is searching for a way to guide Iran to a democratic free society.

‘The Committee for the Rights of Students and Sufis in Iran’, represents about 10 million Sufis and students in Iran, and forms a significant group of the resistance movement towards freedom.

Who are the members of ‘The Committee for the Rights of Students and Sufis in Iran’?
The committee is active in different western countries in Europe, USA as well as in Canada. Its members include second and third generation Iranians who were born in the west, Iranian exiles and western citizens. The committee is acting in accordance with respect to the individual freedom of each human being as written in the United Nations constitution of Human Rights.
The committee is cooperating with NGO`s such as Human Right Watch, Amnesty International, reporters without border, international media and press as well as governmental institutions.

What is the main concern and message of ‘The Committee for the Rights of Students and Sufis in Iran’?
By helping ourselves, we are helping the Iranian community
At present, every individual of the Western free world is exposed to the real danger of “Religious fascism”, in the same way the European citizens (and even the entire world) were confronted in 1939 with the danger of “racist-fascism”.

The committee would like to spread awareness about the necessity to protect the Western democracy and freedom against the approaching and growing danger of fanaticism and religious fascism by the Iranian regime’s infiltration and penetration into the western societies, that is disguised as religious (Islamic) and cultural activities. The danger of religious-fascism can be compared to an enormous octopus, whose head is in Iran and its legs and arms are very active all around the world, aiming to undermine the stability of western societies and to create social-religious-cultural chaos.
In order to construct a strong and stable barrier in front of this stream, the committee would like to make an appeal to the citizen of the free world to be alert and to join in and create a powerful force of international solidarity and non-violent resistance against the threat of religious fascism.

What are the objectives and activities of ‘The Committee for the Rights of Students and Sufis in Iran’?
1. Exchange of information
• Obtaining information from within Iran and share this information with the Iranian people inside of Iran who are bombarded with propaganda and don’t have access to free press and are thus unaware of the real situation in their country.
• To spread information to the entire world about what is happening in Iran
• To inform the free world about the projects, plans and hidden agenda of the Islamic Republic whose only intention is to destabilize the Western society and to create social-cultural-religious chaos.
2. The committee tries to bring together and to coordinate, as far as possible, the activities of the Iranian communities, outside and inside of Iran, by giving an international voice to the activities of the students and Sufis in Iran.
3. The committee organizes street demonstrations and actions such as: a Face for Freedom in Iran” and “a Face for Human Rights in Iran” in cities across the West in solidarity with the Iranian society against the human rights violations in Iran.
4. The committee organizes conferences and offers a platform to experts whose speeches aim to increase the awareness of the western citizens with regard to the dangers that the religious fascism poses to the free world.

What is the final objective of ‘The Committee for the Rights of Students and Sufis in Iran’?

The committee would like to provide a way for the voice of freedom and human rights in Iran to be heard outside the country and to enable a process through which a popular referendum can be held in Iran under the watch of the international community, so that Iranians can decide their own political future.
