‘THE COMMITTEE FOR THE RIGHTS OF STUDENTS AND SUFIS IN
For freedom, equality, brotherhood,
International-solidarity & non violent resistance
The committee for the rights of the students and Sufis in Iran was founded in the beginning of 2009 in order to give a voice to the suppressed Iranian people, and to protest against human rights violations as well as to highlight and to object against the oppression of the Sufis.
In the year following the contested elections of June 12th, 2009, the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran has evolved into a totalitarian regime that holds power inside of
The committee has consequently extended its objectives to:
· Act against and raise the world’s attention to the brutal human rights abuses in
· Raise western awareness about the agenda of the Iranian regime to export their own brand of fanatic and intolerant version of Islam to the Western free world, under the guise of religious and cultural activities.
· Stress the importance of a unified resistance movement against the Iran Regime and to pave the way for a peaceful and non-violent transition towards a free and democratic form of government.
The committee is active in different western countries in Europe,
The committee is acting in accordance with respect to the freedom of individuals as written in the United Nations constitution of Human Rights.
The committee is cooperating with NGO`s such as Human Right Watch, Amnesty International, reporters without border, international media and press as well as governmental institutions.
The committee represents a significant group within the resistance movement.
There are about five and a half million students, spread over 374 universities in
For 31 years, twenty million Sufis from the different Sunnis and Shiite orders (e.g. Gadery, Nagshbandy, Ahl e Hagh, Nematollahi-Gonabadi, Zahabi, etc) have been targeted by the Islamic fascist government under the pretext of religious discordance and the fact that they oppose the concept of “Vali”-absolute power of the supreme leader- and its definition. This is the “philosophy” behind the social-spiritual-political power of the Mullah Regime. The Sufis in general are fully in support of secularity, and the separation of the religion from politics.
The vision of the committee
The Iranian people can take pride in their very rich culture and history. This culture and history has left Iranian society with a fertile soil full of deep essential human values. Therefore, if the Iranian citizens acknowledge that their mutual interest lies in joining forces, they can bridge their differences by reaching into their rich cultural and ethical foundations.
Mystical ideas and old traditions based on human values of tolerance are deeply rooted in the Iranian culture and form the basic genes of the daily lives of many Iranians. Each Iranian can identify him/herself with these kinds of ideas and traditions. One of these traditions is Sufism. Sufism with its Gnostic traditions is based on high moral, ethical and spiritual values that are characterized by a peaceful, tolerant and noble attitude towards every human being irrespective of race, religion or gender. For Iranians, poems of Hafez, Sa'adi, Rumi and other Sufi poets are deeply embedded in their national consciousness, and their messages of peace and tolerance are as familiar to them as the words from the Qu'ran. And for millions of Iranians, young and old, the works of these poets form a guiding light in their lives.
Therefore, this very old tradition has the capacity to unite the people within the resistance movement; and thus inspire them to transcend their differences and enable them to form the basis of one large united movement towards freedom.
The final objective
The committee would like to help, by providing a way for the voice of freedom and human rights in
The committee’s activities relate to:
1. Obtaining information from within
2. To circulate the information with regard to the situation in
3. To inform the free world about the projects and plans of the Islamic Republic and their hidden agenda which belies their actions in the West which are disguised as cultural activities but in reality are aimed at destabilizing the Western social order and racial harmony and to turn the democratic atmosphere into social chaos.
The main activities of the committee
1. Actions of solidarity
The committee would like to make an appeal to the citizen of the western community to build up a powerful force of international solidarity and to join peaceful actions in fighting injustice and human right violations in
The committee organizes street demonstrations and actions such as: a Face for Freedom in Iran” and “a Face for Human Rights in Iran” in cities across the West in solidarity with the Iranian society against the human rights violations in Iran.
2. The committee is advocating for a powerful broadcasting station in order to provide the people inside the country the truthful and uncensored information about what is happening inside and outside the boarders of their country.
3. The committee tries to bring together and to coordinate, as far as possible, the activities of the Iranian communities, outside and inside of
4. The committee organizes conferences and offers a platform for experts who through speeches aim to increase the awareness of the western citizens, and analyse the current situation in Iran as well as to help the spread of factual information, in order to bring together and coordinate the different Iranian communities outside of Iran.
5. The committee is also an active advocate for restricting cooperation with the Iranian regime as much as possible in an attempt to isolate its leaders
6. The committee highlights and fights the ongoing restrictions on the rights of Iranian citizens, and the regime’s shameless incursions into private lives of its people which the regime’s leaders try to justify by misuse of religion (Islam) in order to hide their real objective which is to totally control everything and everybody.
7. The committee would like to raise public awareness in the West about the projects, plans and hidden agenda of the Islamic Republic through which they seek to export their religious fascism into the free world.* This transportation is inherent to their ideology of becoming the leading power of a new world order. The committee regards this as a serious threat to the freedom of rest of the world.
*The committee sees the danger of the religious-fascism as a giant octopus, whose head is in
The activities of this octopus, especially in the western countries, can be summarized by the following:
1. Mass conversion of minorities to their own brand of Islam (which is oriented around the ideology of Jihad against the West).
2. To condition the converted minorities into a new ethnic lifestyle which has no roots in the western culture and civilization and thus is not able to be easily integrated within the western society; which will then lead to religious and cultural isolation, that in turn will create racial disharmony within the western society.
3. To brainwash vulnerable and naive parts of society through their preaching’s and sermons at their religious ceremonies and gatherings.
4. To organize and mobilize their converted group for the different religious ceremonies within mosques and so called “cultural-centres” especially during religious ceremonies of Ashoura, Ramadan, daily and Friday-prayers.
According to accurate information, the hardliner regime wants to spread its influence into other countries through religious institutions (e.g. bonyad al-ghadir, bonyad-e -Majma jahani ahle beyt, Islamic religious schools and other centres such as, darol fatwa) and so called “cultural centres” (e.g. marakez farhangui jomhori Islami) that it has opened in the west. It hides its real intentions behind the name of “religious” and “cultural” activities; while the cultural and religious centres are used by the Mullahs to create their own clans and sects in the heart of the western countries.
Final statement
The committee firmly states that religion is a personal matter. Religion should never be used as a tool to oppress, kill, rape, torture, mutilate, manipulate, and limit the human rights of people. One cannot impose religion on someone else. The committee rejects any form of extremism and fanatism. This committee rejects fiercefully the principle of velâyat e faqi.
